Product Details

Argex (also known as LECA) is manufactured by pelletising selected clays and firing them in rotary kilns. During firing, gases expand the pellets internally, creating a micropored core beneath a rigid ceramic shell. The result is a granule that’s four to five times lighter than conventional gravel, yet robust enough for civil applications.

It is chemically inert, frost and rot‑resistant, and Euroclass A1 non‑combustible.

With a typical loose bulk density around 0.30 – 0.35 t/m³ (grade dependent), Argex is an ultra‑light, spherical clay aggregate offering excellent drainage and reduced load. Used in construction and landscaping, Argex delivers thermal and acoustic benefits while easing structural demands in roofs, floors, and groundworks.
