Environmental Approach
We take a practical, proactive approach to reducing environmental impact across our operations.
All waste handling activities are carried out under Environment Agency permits, with strict controls in place. Our sites are inspected regularly, and in 2025 all facilities achieved a Band A (fully compliant) rating, supported by qualified Technically Competent Managers overseeing operations.
Recycling is central to our business. A significant proportion of materials we handle are processed into high-quality recycled aggregates, supporting the circular economy and reducing reliance on primary resources.
Continuous Improvement
Through ongoing investment, innovation, and monitoring, we continue to improve environmental performance, operational safety, and product quality, helping our customers build more responsibly.
Across all our sites we focus on reducing resource use and emissions through:
- Efficient site and plant design to minimise energy use, dust, and noise
- Water management systems, including rainwater harvesting and recycling
- Renewable energy, with solar installations across key depots
- Lower-impact transport, including the use of rail to reduce road miles and emissions
