6I Primary consists of a well-graded mixture of solids and fines, with particle sizes ranging from 0/125 mm. This aggregate is designed to provide a stable, free-draining fill with a high angle of internal friction, supporting the integrity of reinforced soil and anchored earth structures.
Its mineral composition and grading make it suitable for embankments, backfill to concrete structures, and other applications where long-term stability is required.
When 6I Primary is used in proximity to metal anchors or reinforcement, chemical testing may be necessary to ensure the material does not contribute to corrosion. Produced to SHW Series 600 Class 6I / CC 601 and BS EN 13242 standards, this aggregate offers a compliant and dependable solution for demanding groundwork and infrastructure projects.
