Product Details
Cement Bound Sand is produced by mixing sharp sand with cement, typically at a 14:1 ratio, resulting in a material that offers both strength and controlled thermal conductivity. This makes it particularly suitable for use as a cementitious backfill around high-voltage cables, where it helps dissipate heat and provides a uniform, protective surround.
CBS must be laid within a few hours of delivery to ensure optimal compaction and performance.
The product is supplied premixed for convenience and quality assurance, supporting efficient installation on site. Manufactured to meet ENA 97-1 (2016) standards, Cement Bound Sand provides material compliance, reliability, and practicality for utility trenching and cable protection.
