We have a number of vacancies available in this exciting industry.

Depot Operative - Mortimer Depot

Day Aggregates is one of the most successful suppliers of primary and recycled materials to the construction industry in the South. The business operates 21 sites stretching from Gloucestershire and Dorset across to London and into Kent.

We are currently recruiting for a Depot Operative to be based at our Mortimer Depot.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Running the bagging plant
  • Moving and repositioning aggregates within bays and around the depot
  • Assisting other Depot Operatives
  • Keeping the site safe and tidy

The successful candidate will be reliable and flexible, with a 'can do' attitude. Previous experience of driving Telescopic Handlers or Forklift Trucks would be beneficial, but full training in the operation of mobile plant will be provided.

Working hours: 50 per week, Monday to Friday 0700 - 1700.

Salary dependent on experience.

Yard Operative - Battersea Depot

Day Aggregates is one of the most successful suppliers of primary and recycled materials to the construction industry in the South. The business operates 21 sites stretching from Gloucestershire and Dorset across to London and into Kent.

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to be based at our Battersea Depot.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting other Operatives
  • Keeping the site safe and tidy
  • Manual Handling of materials
  • Operating loading shovel

Excavator 360 (with grab) experience is required. Front Loading Shovel experience is essential, but not required. Any other tickets and licences are welcome.

Full Training will be provided. A reliable and flexible attitude is a must.

Working Hours: 55 hours per week; Monday to Friday 0630-1630 and Saturday 0630-1130.

Salary dependent on experience.

LGV Drivers

Would you like to work for a successful family owned and run business then we have a rare opportunity to join a team of proud, hardworking, and motivated individuals, in our busy but friendly Transport team?

If you are interested in working for Day Aggregates as an LGV driver, please complete and submit the driver application form.

You must hold a C + E licence and have a minimum 2 years driving experience.

In return Company offers the opportunity to drive a modern fleet of Tipper and Artic trucks, basic salary, 9% non-contributory pension plus other benefits.

Logistics Coordinator - Cerney Wick Depot

Your key responsibilities:

  • Take orders from customers, usually over the phone
  • Schedule, plan and allocate work to different drivers each day
  • Source third-party haulage
  • Monitor incoming materials
  • Administration of vehicle earnings and drivers' wages

      Person Specification

      • Ability to work alone and take responsibility for tasks carried out and omissions
      • Motivated, reliable and punctual, and with a 'can do' and positive attitude
      • Attention to detail
      • Good communication skills, especially on the phone
      • Embrace the culture of safety
      • First Aid trained preferable, but not essential

      Working hours / times: 46.25 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 6:30 and 17:00, plus 45 minutes unpaid for lunch.

      Salary dependent on experience and aptitude. Benefits, after a successful probationary period, will include: two bonus payments per year; an employer pension contribution of 9%; a 'Death in Service' benefit; 20 days paid annual leave, which are in addition to the bank holidays.
